The end of season golf activities for the BAGS is held at Swinley Forest in November with invitations to past Captains, current committee members, winners of events during the year and the final of the Secretary’s Cup. This year saw some inclement weather but a beautifully presented course. After golf a carvery lunch and Billy Field conducted prize giving of the largest trophy in the BAGS collection being presented. It has been muted that some are known to have missed a few putts to ensure they do not have to take the Shultz trophy home to their wives!
Winner this year was Secretary and Past Captain Peter Stocks with an impressive 42 pts with a relieved past Captain and past Society President Richard Collins with 39 pts with Tony Sweeney in third on 37pts. The BAGS meeting winners competition was won by Simon Kincaid with 31 pts. The Secretary’s Cup was, for the second time, won by Gary Evans beating Stephen Hill 3&1
