Miles Wilkinson organised an excellent trip to Burnham and Berrow Golf Club the week before the Open qualifier. We then travelled back up the M4 to the Manor House Hotel for a meal and relaxation before and golf on the Manor House Golf Course the following day. A team event and carefully colour coded attire set the competitive atmosphere and with two perfect days of sunshine and warm weather the scene was set of a superb golf trip.
Burham & Berrow was set up in preparation for open qualifier where Justin Rose, a week later shot 66 and 68 but for the BAGS members it was certainly a different story. Many balls went amiss and parts of the course were walked on where very few have gone before.
The group then headed to the Manor House Hotel in Castle Coombe where the evening was spent discussing the days golf and enjoying excellent food and drinks before the next days golf on the very hilly and at times difficult Manor House golf course. Prize giving on the patio before heading home.
