Your committee sent an email survey to all members to understand if the effects of Covid, changed working practices and reduced interest for events required us to understand if the BAGS committee needed to make changes to the way we organise events. We received 54 replies equating to almost half the membership, and we are happy to present the results in a precis version (see link below). The committee’s evaluation of these responses is that members appear to be happy in general with the days that we currently hold events, cost is not a major issue (given the quality of the courses), and 18 holes with an early start appears to be preferred by many now. We have made this change to the Autumn meet at Worplesdon for 2023 and will review how this works. As our events are booked a year in advance, this may take time to implement following our review after the Autumn meet.
