Adrian Peacock was Captain of the event at Bearwood Lakes for the above event. The weather was good and so was the standard of golf on this stunning course in Berkshire. This event was created by the committee to recognise the efforts of Ray Gardner who was the society Secretary for may years and is still the font of all BAGS history. Unfortunately, Ray could not play this year as he is receiving treatment for an ailment but we hope to see him back on the course in 2023.
The competition was an individual stableford for the trophy and a team prize. The winner of The Ray Gardner trophy was Martyn Howie on 41pts with Simon Kincaid second on 37pts. Defending champion Antony Brown was third on 36 pts but collected the team prize. David Gest won the Guest prize with 31pts.
The 2023 Ray Gardner Trophy competition will be held at West Hill Golf Club in Surrey.
